      Suits Season 5 News

The Season 4 finale of Suits ended on USA Network with a major cliffhanger. With the Season 5 premiere announced, the lawyer drama casts Christina Cole in a major role opposite Gabriel Macht (Harvey Specter) and Patrick J. Adams (Mike Ross). Could she possibly be a replacement for Donna, or maybe love interest?

In our previous recap, Harvey went up against Terrence Wolf (Chi McBride) to save Donna (Sarah Rafferty) from being charged with felony fraud. Knowing where to put the money in the right hands, Harvey was able to make the case go away for Donna. After sharing a few drinks, Donna was left standing shocked and speechless as Harvey revealed he loved her and walked out of her apartment.

In our finale recap, Donna wanted more from Harvey but he wasn’t willing to take the chance and risk their relationship. While Mike proposed to Rachel (Meghan Markle), Donna announced she was leaving Harvey and teaming up with Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman) as his secretary. Unable to convince her to stay with him, the last thing Donna said to Harvey was “I love you.”

According to TV Line, Cole joins the cast as Dr. Paula Agard, a Harvard educated psychiatrist. Agard specializes in high end corporate consulting. Will she become a perfect match for Harvey, since he’s still reeling from his breakup with Donna?

We also mentioned, the fifth season will premiere on Wednesday, June 24. Starting at 9pm, Suits will lead into the new hacker drama, Mr. Robot, which centers on a young programmer named Elliot (Rami Malek). Suffering from an anti-social disorder, Elliot can only connect to people by hacking them. Elliot is then recruited to join an underground hacker organization determined to bring down corporate America by a mysterious anarchist named Mr. Robot (Christian Slater).

‘Suits’ Mega-Marathon on Networks Cloo and Universal HD

Beginning Monday, Feb. 16, networks will replay all of the series’ episodes leading up to star Patrick J. Adams’ directorial debut

USA Network’s “Suits” is celebrating Patrick J. Adams’ directorial debut with a mega-marathon on its sister networks Cloo and Universal HD, TheWrap has exclusively learned.

All 57 episodes, including the most recent from Season 4, will begin airing Monday, Feb. 16 at 12:30 p.m. through Wednesday, Feb. 18 when Adams’ episode airs at 10 p.m. back on USA.

Adams directed the season’s episode “Derailed.” On it, Mike (Adams) takes a humanitarian case that could jeopardize the firm while Harvey (Gabriel Macht) grapples with getting a hold of his associate. And rival Louis (Rick Hoffman) fights for the respect a name partner at Pearson Specter deserves.

Additionally, DB Woodside, Tricia Helfer, Stephen Macht, Gary Hudson and Michael Harney guest star.

For those new to the series, “Suits” centers on a fast-paced Manhattan corporate law firm led by Harvey and his associate, Mike , who isn’t legally allowed to practice law — a secret both have protected.

From Universal Cable Productions, the series was created and executive produced by Aaron Korsh. Doug Liman, David Bartis, Gene Klein, Daniel Arkin, and Chris Downey also serve as executive producers. Rick Muirragui signed on to co-executive produce.

In August, USA renewed “Suits” for a 16-episode fifth season, TheWrap previously reported. It averaged nearly four million viewers.

Patrick’s NYC Gallery Offers a Behind the Scenes Look at the World of ‘Suits’

Patrick J. Adams is recognizable to most as the sharp-dressed lawyer without a law degree Mike Ross of USA’s Suits. But Mr. Adams, the son of a journalist, has harbored a passion behind the camera as a photographer since he was a child, a passion he brought to the set of Suits on the very first day. Mr. Adams, knowing that in television a Pilot episode is not a guarantee, wanted to document every aspect of the process on screen and off. Four seasons of Suits later the photographs have begun to pile up.

USA will host a special gallery of Mr. Adams’ behind-the-scenes photographs in Behind the Lens: A Look at the World of SUITS. We chatted with Mr. Adams before the installation goes live, to get his thoughts on photography, acting and the art of capturing genuine human moments.

Observer: How did you first get into photography?

Patrick J. Adams: I was taking pictures even as a young kid. I was fascinated with the concept of documentation. My father being a journalist I grew up in a house built around the idea of telling the story of your life. My dad did it with words where I was more drawn to cameras. As soon as I could get my hands on a camera I was taking pictures. For the longest time I didn’t think to share them.

O: Was there anything specific you were trying to capture on the set of Suits? Anything you kept your eye out for?

P: What I look for changes and evolves over time. These days I feel like I’m focusing more on people, trying to get them in those quiet, relaxed moments backstage. I think I try and pick something that hasn’t been seen or documented properly. As far as people go, I always focused in on those moments between the moments people see on television; catching a person in a human experience or a moment that paints a picture for the audience. I like to explore that world in between the moments when the camera is rolling.

Ten things Patrick J. Adams can’t live without
    1) My camera
I’m an avid photographer and have about 30 cameras at this point, but my Rolleiflex doesn’t leave my side.
    2) My kettlebells
We regularly work 14-hour days on Suits, so I don’t have time for the gym. But I have a set of seven kettlebells at home, and a trainer in L.A. who flies up sometimes to tell me what to do with them.
    3) My school bus
A big group of my friends wanted to go to Burning Man in 2010, and I had this idea to go in a bus. They all thought it was crazy, but I found a 1982 Bluebird for cheap and we spent the entire summer ripping all the seats out, installing beds and converting it into a livable space.
    4) My Sunday brunch
It’s my favourite meal of the week. I alternate between the Benny at Boehmer and the omelette at The Swan.

    5) My lovable mutt
Charlie’s a crazy mix of Lab, elkhound, Lhasa Apso and terrier. He is my best friend in the world, and he goes everywhere with me. Or maybe I go everywhere with him. It’s hard to tell who’s leading whom at this point.
    6) My turntable
After years of dead hard drives and disorganized MP3s, I finally bought a turntable at Planet of Sound on Queen West and built a collection of my favourites: Arcade Fire, John Coltrane, Bob Dylan.
    7) My Honda Elite scooter
In L.A., I get around on my ancient scooter. She’s 29 years old. She backfires constantly. And she’s banged up from an unfortunate encounter I had with a city bus. But she still runs.
    8) My custom threads
Wearing suits every day on the show has shown me how something as small as the size of a lapel can completely change a person—make you look more powerful or stand up taller. I love Garrison Bespoke. They’re old school, and they take their time getting pieces to fit just right.
    9) My go-to software
I try to make time every day to work on my photo projects—right now I’m shooting portraits of our crew on set. The Lightroom application, which I use to manage and edit thousands of images, is permanently open on my laptop.
    10) My Giant bike
We shoot Suits in Toronto during the beautiful months, and I try and get out on two wheels as much as possible.

Patrick Got Troian the Best Gift Ever

Troian Bellisario may just have the best fiancé ever. As you may know, the Pretty Little Liars star is engaged to actor Patrick J. Adams, of Suits fame, and they are more or less the cutest couple ever. Want proof? Check out the amazing gift Patrick just gave Troian…

Patrick bought tickets to see the Godmother of Punk, aka Patti Smith, in concert. As you can see in Troian’s Instagram snapshot of the marquee, the show was sold out — but Patrick managed to snag tickets. “@halfadams a million thanks would not come close to what you deserve for this gift,” Troian captioned the photo. Aww. These two!

Um, can we talk about how much more this reveal makes us love Troian? We already loved the PLLer — obviously — but the fact that she loves Patti Smith makes us realize just how cool she truly is. Troian also shared a snapshot of Patti Smith doing her thing on stage, as well as a short video from the night’s performance. She captioned the latter: “Is there anyone like you? You goddess You inspiration. You mother of all. Thank you. My Patti.”

Patrick and Troian continue to be one of our favorite real-life TV couples. Have you heard about that time Patrick landed a guest star role on PLL just so he could win Troian back? Or seen all the photos of the two gallivanting around Paris, aka The City of Love, together? Yep, the adorablest.

      Patrick Talks with ‘The Coveteur’

Patrick was featured on The Coveteur website, where they discuss his style, his photography, and directing for the first time. Check out the photos and article below!

We have this problem, probably one that we have in common with the rest of our Netflix-watching, pop culture-consuming world, where we essentially think of actors as being one in the same as their TV characters. Tina Fey and Liz Lemon, Leighton Meester and Blair Waldorf. And we’re pretty sure Sarah Jessica Parker actually believes she’s Carrie (witness her fearlessness when it comes to wearing stirrup leggings. SJP, hate to break it to you, but even Carrie would have struggled with that one). And yes, the actors of Suits also fall into this trap. Along with being the vehicle with which we imagine ourselves taking an alternative career path in the area of high stakes corporate law (Hollywood makes it so fun!), we also can’t help but picture its very cute protagonist, the genius savant Mike Ross, being one in the same as Patrick J. Adams.

But we shouldn’t have thought so fast, because if you look into Adams (a cursory Google search will do) you’ll find there’s a fair amount more to the guy than, well, a suit. And when we arrived at his condo in Toronto’s Queen West neighborhood (he’s from our hometown, you guys—how could we not?), it was to find there was most definitely more to the guy than a suit. In fact, there was nary a notable suit in sight.
